About Est Ovest

Picture
Est Ovest Style is a fashion and wardrobe consulting company dedicated to helping our clients achieve their own ‘style nirvana,’ the most modern, beautiful and confident version of themselves. We edit what you already own, tell you what to ditch, and help you purchase what you really need to start loving how you look.

Owners Paula Brady O’Neil and Tracy Gaillard Pendergast believe in the Italian style philosophy; that one’s closet should only have items in it that make the wearer feel equal parts attractive, confident, and comfortable. The name Est Ovest means “East West” in Italian and pays homage to Tracy and Paula’s respective backgrounds and the opposite coasts on which they were raised, educated, and began their careers.

Est Ovest Style believes that fewer items worn well is better than many items worn poorly, that fashion should never be too difficult, and most importantly that style is not a privilege for some, but a right for all.

Paula Brady O'Neil

Remember the girl in grade school who regularly transitioned from tomboy to Madonna to new wave hipster? That girl was (and still is) Paula O’Neil, co-owner at Est Ovest Style. Paula’s passion for the effortless chic of Italian style was born in the boutiques of Seattle and cemented on her first trip to Italy where she purchased her favorite fashion find to date, a perfectly cut beige linen jacket from an outdoor market in Florence. Her only regret? Not buying 100 of them.

Today, Paula combines her love of fashion with 15 years of experience in marketing, fundraising and community relations, giving her a unique perspective for styling both women and men for their daily and professional lives.  In addition to her work with Est Ovest Style, Paula recently served as the National Market Director for Style for Hire, an agency representing stylists nationwide who are personally certified by Co-Founder and Stylist-in-Chief Stacy London, of TLC’s celebrated show ‘What Not to Wear’.  Paula is an accomplished community speaker and corporate presenter, and uses her styling talent to benefit a number of not-for-profit and community programs.

Tracy Gaillard Pendergast

Tracy loved fashion from the start, enthusiastically mixing patterns and textures as soon as she could dress herself. She began her career editing the closets of friends and loved ones and designing costumes for a multitude of theatrical productions in which she performed. She then lived in Rome, Italy, where she experienced firsthand the power of the Italian fashion philosophy and worked for a boutique design house to hone her knowledge of fabric, cut, and style. She returned from Europe to live in New York City, working for McKinsey and Company while performing and designing costumes for film, TV, and stage.

Before moving to the West Coast, Tracy spent over four years as a stylist and personal shopper for Saks Fifth Avenue. With warmth, humor, and respect, Tracy helped clients feel their best for every day life, as well as important milestones like meeting the president, hitting the Oscar red carpet, interviewing for a new job, or walking a daughter down the aisle. Some were famous actors, top fashion editors, popular politicians and others firmly in the public eye, but Tracy’s greatest enjoyment came from helping men and women of all ages and careers rediscover and celebrate their unique beauty and enjoy the process of getting dressed. She was recently the Pacific Northwest Regional Manager for Style for Hire. As a strategist, educator and presenter, Tracy also develops and delivers corporate training programs and facilitates the creation and implementation of enhanced styling and customer service standards and practices for retail talent.

Pirrie Wright

Born into a Francophile winemaking family, Pirrie has always had a passion for fashion and old world glamour. Under Tracy and Paula's amazing tutelage, and coupled with her innate work drive, she found her passion for trends and for styling and fit for every unique body. After graduating from high school in Portland she moved to New York City and assisted one of the top stylists at the prestigious Bergdorf Goodman.

Pirrie is now living in Paris studying fashion marketing at the International Fashion Academy. In addition to school she is styling for ad campaigns, magazine editorials, music videos, etc. She loves being able to mix high end brands with streetwear and vintage pieces. With a young eye for aesthetic and trend she is excited to take on whatever the Paris fashion scene may bring. In her newest venture, Pirrie will be operating Est Ovest Paris; offering services ranging from virtual styling to curated fashion tours of the city. She can't wait to help you find that French "je ne sais quoi".
